These three pine cones were picked up off the cement on my way back from class this morning. In possibly a day they will be back on the ground again, getting kicked around by other college students on their way to class.

About this Blog
One fateful day, my fiancee and I strolled into a bookstore art supply section. While looking at the canvases on sale, we both pondered the empty walls of our new apartment and saw a link from one to the other. A smattering of bottom-shelf acrylic paints and we set off. After a couple postcard-sized doodlings, I decided this was something I could really get into.
On August 1st, 2008 I set forth on this epic endeavor to paint a painting a day for a year. I thought that this blog would serve as both a personal motivator for my fledgling art and an inspirational example for others looking to flex their creative muscle.
I'm a Seattleite and a student at the University of Washington studying entrepreneurship. I am currently putting together a group of students with the intent to start a student-run venture capital fund branch called Husky Ventures.
